Embratel to offer Telecom solutions within the Frei Caneca Shopping and Convention Center
Area within the complex offers calling and Internet solutions for the corporate market
Embratel entered into an unprecedented partnership to sell calling and Internet solutions to the 140 tenants of the Frei Caneca shopping, in addition to the exhibitors of its Convention Center, through an office installed inside the complex in São Paulo. With the implemented facilities, the Convention Center can be run on an independent basis from the Shopping, offering to event users a broader array of services, with enhanced performance and security.
"With the agreement, the building is interconnected to Embratel's fiber optics ring, bringing more quality and significant cost reduction for accessing our cutting-edge technological solutions", explains Maurício Vergani, executive director of Embratel.
In the referred area installed inside the building, Embratel will provide major voice and data solutions to the tenants of the 140 shops there. Regarding the shopkeepers, solutions like DDR extensions, points of access to the Internet, intercalling and POS terminals for shopping with credit and debit cards will be offered on a quicker and more efficient basis.
Embratel has a service unit at the Frei Caneca Convention Center as well, shortening the distance between Embratel and the customer. There, promoters and exhibitors can hire services like fast Internet, cable and wireless Internet, videoconferencing solution, plus digital and analog calling for the entire duration of any event.
In order to implement the project, all of the equipment previously used in the building had to be replaced: telephone exchange, servers, computers. The physical and optical network was surveyed to assure the quality of the services to be provided.
"The good thing is that the company establishes a direct interface with the exhibitors and promoters, offering them a tailor-made service, in a quick and secure way", says Winston Chagas, Director of the Frei Caneca Convention Center. The wireless Internet service is already available at the restaurants located on the third floor, and will soon be available at the food court as well.
All the Internet and calling solutions available thanks to this partnership represent the first stage of the project, which is being implemented with the facilities required to assure a continuous technological development.
In addition to the special features of this partnership, shopkeepers and promoters are provided with Embratel's technical support on a 24/7 basis, including holidays.
Embratel's calling solutions offer a lot of facilities, including detailed billing, showing all the calls sorted by extension, and secure access to view and pay the telephone bill on the web.
Additionally, Embratel has started the tests to implement the video over IP transport solution as well. With this service, the shopkeepers, promoters and exhibitors in the Frei Caneca Convention Center can track remotely all that is going on at their booth or shop. Embratel will implement the CFTV over IP as well, offering a most advanced management system to the Frei Caneca Shopping security service.
